“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” George Bernard Shaw

Hi there and welcome to my blog! If you’ve stopped by to learn a little bit more about me then here’s a few tidbits!

My name is Joce {pron. Joss} and I’m a mumma to three beautiful little people. While life is always busy, I spend the majority of my time playing, dancing, storytelling and crafting the days away as a stay-at-home-mum. I also spend a lot of time battling the ever-growing laundry pile, hunting for random toy parts in unusual places and sitting on the back patio, indulging in sweet treats while I watch the cows graze in the paddock {errr… I mean, supervise my children like a hawk!}.

Before we were blessed with our little ones I worked as a Junior Primary Teacher and one day I’ll return to the classroom. But for now, I just want to enjoy every moment of my kids’ childhood while I can. These are our memory making years! The messy, crazy, busy but ultimately fun years that I want to treasure before they vanish.

In my spare time {or should I say, stolen moments when my wonderful husband takes the reigns for an hour or so} you can find me pottering around my garden, reinventing an old piece of furniture or absorbed in my latest crafty creation. But if I disappear completely, it will be because I have eloped with some classic literature, most likely of the Jane Austen persuasion {pun completely intended!}. I have a love of all things shabby chic and a somewhat worrying obsession with fabric. And when it comes to shoe collections… I am a Gumboot Girl!

Looks like we have lots in common… I was a teacher too before becoming a mum….and blogger and if I get a chance I love crafting, doing DIY projects and looking on Pinterest. One day I hope to learn more about gardening but nows not the time with my third child arriving in a few weeks 🙂
